Why I Write About Love That Feels Destined

I have always been fascinated by the idea that some people are simply meant to find one another.

Not perfect love. Not easy love. But the kind of connection that makes you wonder whether two souls might have known each other long before they ever met.

That idea finds its way into so many of my stories.

I love writing characters who are pulled toward one another before they completely understand why. Sometimes there is history between them. Sometimes magic. Sometimes a prophecy, an ancient secret, or circumstances determined to keep them apart.

But underneath all of it is something very human: the desire to find the person who somehow feels like home.

Perhaps that is why I’m drawn to stories about reincarnation, fate, supernatural bonds, old family secrets, and love that survives impossible circumstances. There is something beautifully romantic about imagining that love might be stronger than a single lifetime.

When I sit down to write, I don't necessarily want to create a perfect romance.

I want to create one you feel.

I want the lingering glance. The impossible choice. The moment a character realizes they would burn down everything they once believed to protect the person they love.

And yes, I want a little magic too.

Because reality gives us enough ordinary days.

Sometimes we deserve to open a book and believe that somewhere, somehow, two souls were always going to find each other.

Maybe some love stories don't begin when two people meet. Maybe that's simply where they find each other again.

Until next time, keep getting lost between the pages.
